Wrapping up, archiving, deleting

What happens to a project once it is finished — wrap it up, archive it, reopen it or delete it for good.

A project goes through three states: Active, Completed and Archived. You change them in the card's menu in the project list — for that you need the right Edit projects.

Active

In progress. Counts towards the active projects your plan allows.

Completed

Finished and fully readable. No longer counts towards the active projects.

Archived

Put away so it no longer turns up day to day. All data is kept.

Wrapping up

1 Wrap up in the card's menu. The project then counts as finished and appears under the Completed tile.

Archiving and reopening

You can archive a completed project in the same menu: it then appears only under the Archived tile. Reopen makes a completed or archived project active again.

Deleting

1 Delete in the card's menu.

1 Confirm with Delete for good. This cannot be undone.

Recorded working time and signature records are kept even after deleting — they are evidence. Whoever holds the right Delete projects may delete.

What happens if …

If …then …
a project contains records that must be retainedModiFax refuses to delete it and tells you so. Archive the project instead.
you reopen a project but the plan allows no further active projectsit stays as it is; the message leads to the plans.
you choose Cancel in the questionnothing happens; the project stays.
