Contracts in the project

All of a project's contracts in one place — from the draft to the signature, with status, categories and deadlines.

Every project has a Contracts tab: crew and cast contracts, filming permits, consents, non-disclosure agreements and the contract with the client. Signing happens electronically in the app or via a link — or on paper where the law requires it.

The tab is shown to whoever may view contracts; the Contracts tool must be switched on in the project (see Editing a project).

The overview

At the top the key figures, below them one tile per status, filters and the list. 1 Add a contract creates a new one.

The tiles filter the list:

Allwith contract volume
Every contract of the project; below it is the sum of fees, buyouts and flat travel costs.
Draftchangeable
Not released yet. Everything can be changed.
Out for signaturelocked
Released and with the parties. The content is frozen until everyone has signed — or until someone withdraws the release.
Under negotiationdeclined
A party has declined. You change the contract and release a new version.
Signedwith share
Everyone has signed. The percentage says how many of the project's contracts are done.
Running outthe next 30 days
Contracts whose term ends soon — extend them or conclude new ones in good time.

You can also filter by Category and Risk and sort the list.

Categories

The category says what a contract is for and decides what it asks for:

CategoryWhat for
Crew, Cast, Extrasthe people in front of and behind the camera
Location, Prop or vehicle, Service provider, Insurancelocations, props and sets, companies, cover
Rights, NDArights of use and confidentiality
Client contractthe commission itself — with correction rounds
Consent, AI consentrecordings and their publication, use by AI — with purposes to tick
Proof of participationa person's confirmed participation — shown in their public profile if they wish
  • Budget: fee, buyout and flat travel costs land as an item in the budget — planned while it is a draft, binding after the signature.
  • Media pool: attached PDFs are in the media pool under Contracts / <party>.
  • Notifications: the parties learn that something is ready for them to sign; you learn when someone has signed or declined and when a contract is about to run out.
