Moodboard
Collect and order visual references — boards per category, groups, media, colour palettes, typography, quotes, a shared canvas, pins with comments and the board as a PDF.
A moodboard collects how something should look and feel: pictures, films, sounds, colours, typefaces, quotes and your own sketches. A project has as many boards as you like, for example one for the look, one for locations, one for costumes. You see the tab with the read right for moodboards.
The boards
1 The categories as filters. 2 New moodboard. 3 One tile per board with the number of elements and the last change.
A new board gets a name and a category: Look, Location, Costume, Audio, Architecture or Other. The category only serves to filter the overview. Under Board settings you change both. If you delete a board, its elements go with it; pictures and files stay in the media pool.
Groups and elements
1 Add an element with all kinds. 2 A group collects elements that belong together. 3 Loose elements stand on the board without a group.
Every element has a title and a description; editing it changes them together with the details of its kind.
Pins and comments
On a picture, Place a pin puts a numbered pin exactly on the spot that matters — "this light", "this colour of the wall". The team writes comments on every pin and every element. Remove the pin takes it away again.
The canvas
1 The resolution of the shared drawing surface: 4K, Full HD, A4 landscape, Square or a Custom size in pixels. 2 Open the canvas creates it and opens it.
Several people draw on the canvas at the same time. The Tools are Pen, Brush (ink, pencil, marker, paint, airbrush, chalk), filling an area, gradient (linear or radial), Insert a shape (rectangle, ellipse, triangle, line, arrow, star), Eraser, Insert an image and the hand for moving the view. Under Tool options you set colour, stroke width and opacity. Every one of the Layers can be shown and hidden, locked, moved and deleted. On a tablet you work in Tablet mode with a large surface and a pen. Clear everything empties the whole board, after asking.
Sharing and PDF
A moodboard can be shared with clients or freelancers through the share link; whoever may only read sees it as Read only. You download the whole board as a PDF, for example for a presentation.
What happens when …
| When … | then … |
|---|---|
| you delete a board | its elements go with it; pictures and files stay in the media pool. |
| you dissolve a group | its elements stand loose on the board again. |
| two people draw at the same time | each sees the other's strokes at once. |
| a layer is locked | nothing on it can be changed until you unlock it. |
| an element is too large for the shared drawing | it is not taken over; insert the motif as a picture. |
