Equipment
A project's camera, optics, lighting, sound, grip and SFX — take it over from the pool or create it, own stock or rental with costs in the budget, technical data, stock, power and energy balance on set and rigs with batteries.
The equipment lists every device the shoot needs, with what it costs, how much power it draws and on which day it is in use where. You see the tab with the read right for equipment.
Adding devices
1 Add a device creates a new device; From the pool at the top takes over templates from the administration. 2 Per device, by category: status, own stock or rental, and quantity.
Add from the pool takes over devices from the account's equipment templates (Administration → Templates → Equipment). You create a new device with New device; Save as a template in the pool makes it available for the next projects. The categories are Camera, Optics, Lighting, Sound, Grip & rigging and SFX, the status is available, In use or Maintenance.
Own stock or rental
Technical data and stock
Under Technical data stand Power (W), Power type, Voltage (V), Weight, Manufacturer and Serial number. For battery planning there are the Pro values: Energy needed per shooting day (Wh) and Duty cycle (%) — the share of the shooting time under load, about 100 for a monitor, about 15 for a motor. If the energy is missing, the app estimates it from watts and duty cycle. Under Stock & availability stand Total quantity, permanently bound batteries and what is reserved.
Power & battery planning
1 Positions, Peak load, what is In use, and the Rent in total. 2 The Power & battery planning: what the batteries have to deliver on a shooting day. 3 The Battery stock from the equipment pool.
With Shooting day length and Safety reserve you set for how many hours and with how much buffer the planning counts. Battery load (mobile) is what runs on batteries; if the stock is not enough, the balance says how many watt-hours are missing. You create batteries in the administration's equipment pool.
On set: power and batteries
1 The day's devices and batteries. 2 Peak load and fusing. 3 Energy needed (battery) against Battery capacity taken.
In the shooting day, Equipment on set shows which devices and batteries are booked on that day, with the power and energy balance. If the battery capacity is not enough, the balance names how many watt-hours are missing and how many batteries you still have to assign; if the load is too high, it reads A generator is recommended.
Rigs
A rig is a group of devices on one battery — for example camera, monitor and wireless on a V-mount. Add a rig builds such a group; the app calculates runtime and recharges ahead and shows what percentage of the need is covered.
What happens when …
| When … | then … |
|---|---|
| you create a rental device | daily rate × quantity × rental days flows into the budget under "Equipment". |
| you delete a device | its budget line and its bookings go with it; this cannot be undone. |
| a shooting day is deleted | the day's bookings are dropped, and a rental device costs one day less. |
| a day's batteries are not enough | the balance names how much is missing. |
| there are no templates in the pool | Add from the pool tells you where to create them. |
