AI drafts
What the AI proposes, where you find it and how you accept or reject it.
Everything an AI would write into your data is a draft first — whether it comes from ModiFax's AI, from a connected assistant such as Claude or from a workflow. Only when a person accepts it does it become a real record or a real change.
How you recognise it
- AI draft — a proposal you can accept or reject. For an assistant its name is shown, such as “AI draft · Claude”.
- AI assessment — an evaluation that writes nothing, such as the look continuity or the casting match.
Drafts have a dashed frame, so they can never be mistaken for your data.
Where drafts appear
- Project overview: the AI drafts inbox collects all open proposals of a project, grouped by the run that made them — with function or assistant, progress and result.
- Lists: above roles, scenes, tasks, contracts, the shot list and the budget stand the proposals of that kind: New, Change or Delete.
- Detail pages: below a record's header it says AI proposes …, with every field before and after. Technical fields such as links are listed below, to expand, so nothing is accepted unseen.
- Screenplay: the screenplay breakdown marks its findings right in the text.
- Moodboard: images with a proposal carry the badge; the opened image shows the proposed title and description.
When a run is finished, the bell says AI drafts ready — with a link to the project.
Accepting and rejecting
- Accept writes the proposal the same way as your own change: with your rights, the same checks and in the protocol.
- Reject leaves everything as it is.
- Accept all accepts a run's proposals in the right order — a new role, say, before the breakdown entry that needs it. Deletions are never included; you decide them one by one.
- Rejecting a proposal also drops the proposals built on it.
Only someone who may change the record themselves can accept. Without that right the buttons are greyed out and say why.
Outdated drafts are never accepted blindly. If someone changed the record since the AI read it, the draft is not applied on accepting, and ModiFax tells you it was outdated. An old proposal never overwrites a newer change.
Withdrawing a run
While a run is still working, whoever started it, or whoever manages the account, can withdraw it. Its open drafts go with it. If the same function starts again for the same record, the new run replaces the old one's open proposals.
Offline
Drafts can be read and decided offline too. Your decision then waits on the device and is applied as soon as the connection is back — and here, too, whatever has become outdated is not accepted.
Retention
ModiFax deletes the contents of decided drafts after 30 days. Who started which run when and how much of it was accepted stays for twelve months as a record.
