Overview
What ModiFax's AI can do, which package it needs and how its allowance is counted.
ModiFax's AI works where you already are: in the screenplay, the budget, the moodboard, the media library. It runs on its own servers — unlike an outside assistant, which passes on what it reads to its provider. And what it writes is a draft until you accept it.
What it can do
Backstage
- Screenplay breakdown — finds roles, props, vehicles and more in the screenplay.
- Screenplay translation — translates the screenplay into another language.
- Shooting order — proposes an order of the scenes on the stripboard.
- Receipt scanning — fills a budget position from the photo of a receipt.
- Usage rights from contracts — reads the rights from a contract document.
- Look continuity — compares a look's reference and on-set photo.
- Moodboard tags — proposes a title and description for new images.
- Image descriptions and Transcripts & subtitles — for files in the media pool.
Casting
- Casting match — assesses how well an application fits a role.
Studio
- Video tags & chapters, Video assessment, Lead scoring, Website draft, Website translation, Subject lines, and Texts and Checks in workflows.
What a function only assesses — continuity, casting match, video and lead scoring — carries the badge AI assessment and never lands in your fields.
The AI package
The AI is a package of its own in three tiers and always runs together with a paid package it can work with — the screenplay breakdown, for instance, needs a package with the screenplay.
| Tier | Units per month | At the same time | Price |
|---|---|---|---|
| AI | 5,000 | 2 | €30 per month |
| AI Plus | 25,000 | 4 | €80 per month |
| AI Max | 100,000 | 8 | €120 per month |
The AI package comes as a monthly subscription only — even beside a yearly subscription it renews every month. The allowance belongs to the whole account — all members draw from the same pot.
You book the package under Subscription & packages, above the package selection: as long as no suitable package is booked or in the basket, the AI stays locked; with a suitable package it unlocks and shows which functions you can then use.
How it is counted
- Text: one unit per 1,000 tokens the model reads or writes.
- Image: one unit per image.
- Audio: two units per minute.
The allowance renews on the first of every month. Under Subscription & packages a bar shows how much is used; whoever manages the account also sees there, under Usage by function, how much each function took — to one decimal, so even a small call visibly counts. Once the allowance is used up, a higher tier lets you continue right away.
Units are only used while the AI works — never for opening a page. The video assessment first shows, free of charge, what the figures say; the AI reads them only on Deeper analysis, and compares the productions only on Compare with AI. It works on its own only where you set it to: automatic subtitles chosen at upload, and scoring a new lead.
Without the AI package
Every AI button stays visible, then carries a lock and says AI is not part of your package. A tap leads straight to the AI package. Without a connection to the server the AI cannot be reached; the button is then greyed out and says that it needs a connection.
Would you rather use your own AI? With every paid package you can connect Claude, ChatGPT or another assistant over MCP — no AI package needed.
